I really like baking/cooking from scratch but as I've gotten older and more disabled it's just not something I can do much. The recipes here are easier and quicker for me and allows us to have the goodies we all love. Not only that, my grandson can make them on his own if he's wanting them before I'm ready to get started.There are always welcome recipes we can enjoy in any of the other Hillbilly Housewife cookbooks too. Give them a try!
First off, the Hillbilly Housewife is one of my favorite sites for go-to information that is down-to-earth, inexpensive, very tasty and without fail hits the nail on the head. This Weekday Cookie Recipes is a true gem. Home and the smell of cookies (or bread) baking in the oven triggers some of my best childhood memories. Now I can bake on weekdays because the recipes are easy and quick to make. Whenever I see that the Hillbilly Housewife has put out a book it is an automatic download for me because she is always great. Thank you for taking the time to write these books and please, please keep on doing so. With best wishes for a continued success - A big, big fan.
I love the Hillbilly Housewife recipes but what I love about her cookie recipes is you can adapt them as your budget and creativity allow by going to her website and finding substitutes.I love how you can take her recipes and feed your family a delicious meal from appetizer to dessert.Personally, I love to cook and have been doing so since I was 4 years old when I fried my first egg with bologna. I absolutely have had it said of me, as they say in the South, "really it[a spread or banquet of food] throw down" from kitchen to table. So, I am an avid collector of recipes and cooking tips and kitchen and shopping advice.This cookbook is unlike any other for baking and "no-baking" cookies and whereas most frugal sites kind of assume you have a basic knowledge of how to get things going, through her website you can learn everything there is to know about cooking without wasting time or money with your trial and errors.

Another great cookbook from the Hillbilly Housewife. These are terrific recipes not just for the choice of ingredients, but that they can be made in a flash. I think "weekday recipes" really describes it accurately- quick to bake and tasty to boot. I loved the flour-less and limited ingredient recipes to make baking quick & easy. I found so many favorites I can't wait to try, but the Whopper cookies are on my must-try list. And I haven't had a Snickerdoodle since I was a kid, how fun to find an old favorite.
Some awesome recipes that I can't wait to try. Am excited to see what my family thinks and which become favorites.

This book hit the spot offering a variety of quick and delicious recipes for cookies that can easily be used for interactive projects, quick and fun snacks, and yummy desserts.
