Cathy Birkenstein is a lecturer in English at the University of Illinois at Chicago. We purchased this book for an English class and have found it to be a great read. There are articles/essays in the book that I'm really glad I read, definitely a book to make you question not only your own writing but your social habits as well!
Great book but not easy to use and implement practice during the school year due to the density of information and my child's available time to do extra study.
Book is good so far. A new way to approach writing is always handy.
I needed to get this book for my English 210 class. The book arrived two days late and had some brown stains on the spine. The top of the spine was also ripped a little. Other than that, the inside of book looks great.
Quick delivery. Mint condition. Good price. I suggest buying, not that much more expensive. Good read!
