This is especially adorable coloring book of unicorn designs. While it is generally marketed for adults, a younger unicorn fan could have a lot of fun with this book as well. Not that it is appropriate for little children as the detail would be too much but rather than subject matter is cute for a slightly older individual on up into the adults.This are unicorns in various poses – some with friends and others by themselves. They are cute and bright without any stylized about them. The designs are detailed with full backgrounds and lots to color. They are not what I consider intricate with small or difficult areas to color. Having two of each makes it fun for sharing or simply trying a different color scheme in the future.While you can have access to .PDFs when you purchase this book, my review is based on the book as it is received from Amazon. That way you will know what the pages look like and how they accept color. I like that the publisher provides the digital version as well so you can choose the paper you wish to use and/or to color the pictures as many times as you choose.This is what I found in this coloring book:25 Unicorn designs with two copies of each for a total of 50 coloring pages in the book.Printed one side of the pagePaper is typical inexpensive quality by CreateSpace printing: white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated.The designs do not merge into the binding. There is a heavy framing line at the outer edges of the design to give the project a more finished look, especially for framing.Glue BindingCreate Space Paper/Media QualityAlcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work fairly well with this publisher's paper provided you don't press extremely hard while coloring. I find that I can layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and I could blend easily using a blending stick. This is true of both oil and wax based pencils. I have also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.Though you cannot see the bleed-through easily due to the back of the page being printed in black, I recommend the use of a blotter page when working in this type of book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.

I don't know if each printer uses the same brand of paper, but I have heard that some people are getting the equivalent of basic copy paper in their books. My copy seems to be slightly higher quality, with a slight tooth for colored pencils, but not thick enough to hold up to a wet or heavy medium like water colors or acrylics.The pages are not perforated- if you want to remove the page from the book, a straight blade is the best option.Photos included - Sargent Arts colored pencilsCrayola and CraZArt style water based markersNot a great photo, but you can see how the back of the page shows buckling from the markers
Beautiful colouring book. I really love the images. However, something really bugged me about the book itself. For some reason when you hold the book or when the book isn't resting on a flat surface and pushed down, all the pages would curl backwards. Wish the production of my book was in the same quality as all the other Jade Summer books I've ordered.
I love this book. It is my favorite Jade Summer book so far of the ones I have bought. It reminds me of List Frank, Care Bears and My Little Pony. There are also some pictures of various types of girls with the unicorns. For example, an elf and a mermaid. And the horses have them like "stormy." You get two copies of each image and a code for a free digital version. A very cute and fun book.
A must have for all Jade Summer fans and anyone who loves unicorns. The artwork is adorable and so fun to color. I love using my imagination and making the fantasy unicorns come to life. I would buy this book again and as a gift. It is definitely one of my favorite Jade Summer books.
I bought this coloring book for my 8 year old daughter and she LOVES it. The pictures are beautiful and detailed nicely. Very pretty pictures. What is really great about this book is that when my daughter colors with her gel pens, the back of the pages are black so that the gel pens don't bleed through onto the next page. And it's one picture per page so if you want to frame it, you could. Very happy with my purchase and actually buying the ocean one next.
Love Jade Summers coloring books, it’s so fun to be creative. Especially since the book comes with two of the same pages that way you can color one and then maybe later color it again and compare your skills. Also comes on blacked out back pages so it doesn’t bleed or ghost thru.
So you only really get half as many pictures as you think as all the pictures are in the book twice. Idk what the reason for the subterfuge is and why one would need to color the same pages twice but I for one was expecting a book of all original pictures to color not duplicates. I wouldn't buy again knowing this now
